Nana Gyesie specializes in street, documentary, and portrait photography. In addition to working on personal projects, he works with clients to create stunning portraits and document special moments using candid and documentary techniques.

His work is shaped by inspiration he draws from lived lives, the public space, and The City, in any country.  Some of the influences on his work include Jane Jacobs, Slavoj Zizek, James Baldwin, Ousmane Sembene, Alfonso Cuaron, Martin Parr, Sebastiao Salgado and many others.

He grew up largely in Ghana, and spent stints in Nigeria and England. He has two wonderful sons, Gabriel and Benjamin, who he is absolutely delighted in.
